There are many features of the GPS, Maps, Driving Directions & Directions App that make it a must-have for anyone who travels frequently or who wants to be able to find their way around an unfamiliar area. The app provides turn-by-turn directions, so you never have to worry about getting lost. You can also search for specific locations, such as businesses or landmarks, and the app will provide directions to those locations. The voice navigation feature is especially useful when you are driving, as it will give you turn-by-turn directions without you having to take your eyes off the road. The app also includes a map of the area that you are in, so you can see exactly where you are and plan your route accordingly.
How to Use GPS, Maps, Driving Directions & Directions
Assuming you are talking about the Google Maps app:
1) Open the app and sign in. You'll need to have a Google account to do this.
2) Tap the Search bar and enter your destination. You can also search for places nearby by tapping the blue location dot, then tapping a category (e.g., “Restaurants”), or searching for an specific type of place (e.g., “Mexican food”).
3) To get directions, tap Routes . If you see multiple routes, tap on a route to see the steps involved and estimated time it will take to get there. You can also compare different routes by tapping and holding on another route, then selecting Compare .
4) Select your transportation method—driving, walking, biking, or using public transit. Then, tap Start . For walking or biking directions, you can add multiple stops along the way by tapping Add stop .
5) While navigation is running, you can do other things with your phone. To bring navigation back into focus, open the multitasking view and tap on Google Maps.
6) To end navigation, in the top right corner of the map screen, tap More End trip.

Google Maps is one of the most popular GPS apps and for good reason. It offers turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic updates, public transit information, and more. Plus, it's free to download and use. However, Google Maps doesn't offer offline maps or voice-guided navigation.
Waze is another popular GPS app that's owned by Google. It offers many of the same features as Google Maps but with some added benefits like crowd-sourced traffic data and gas prices. Plus, it has a fun community aspect where you can chat with other users and share your drive. However, Waze doesn't have public transit information like Google Maps does.
Apple Maps is Apple's built-in mapping service that comes preloaded on all iOS devices. It offers turn-by-turn directions, 3D Flyover view, traffic data, and more. While Apple Maps isn't as comprehensive as Google Maps or Waze, it does offer a few unique features like indoor mapping for select airports and malls. However, Apple Maps doesn't have gas prices or crowd-sourced traffic data like Waze does.
