Domino's Pizza Delivery

I have not used the app for a few months, and on opening today, it appears to have been updated. Okay, but why had it signed out my account? So I re-register, select Collection, find my usual BOGOF deal, pick the pizzas, add stuffed crust, add to basket, and notice the collection time is 7-12 minutes. It tells me I have to click into check out to change it, I do, and clicking on the collection time presents only one option: 7-12 minutes. Two things: 1. I don’t want the pizza at 15:30, I want to collect it at 17:15 because… 2. I couldn’t get to the Dominoes in 7-12 minutes without access to a helicopter, and I don’t want the pizzas sitting in a hot cupboard drying up while I am driving there… We're sorry to hear this was your experience JP! You are able to adjust when you want to collect your pizza by clicking onto the collection time on the checkout page, which will present you with further time slots. Not sure if this is a change in general or just with the new app, but the ability to change or customise has been altered and is now awful. On a make your own, there is no option to have a vegan base for example, the pizzas say gluten free, but then select a crust and it says this has gluten in which is contradictory. You can’t add vegan cheese to the make your own also? What has happened to the choice (aware of the limited menu since Covid, but this is a more recent change). If you select a vegan pizza without fake chicken, you are now unable to change and add in the substitute? Very odd. Also you are only able to have the thinner crust pizzas in large? You can now only make 2 changes and swapping bbq for tomato or vice versa now counts as a change. So simply switching sauce (which I don’t imagine adds any additional cost of labour) penalises you and means any other changes are added as an ‘addition’. Very poor choice and seemingly lack of customisation for vegan options. Dominos aren’t the cheapest pizza around regardless but the customisable element was always a benefit which has now been removed in preference of what seems a money making scheme, disappointing. I downloaded this app and it downloads really quickly. I waited maybe like 3 seconds for it to load once I tapped the app and I instantly fell in LOVE ♥️❤️♥️!! I signed up and it was all chill and easy nothing confusing or personal questions at all! It shows you where the nearest shop is and have you seen their Menu! Lota-chocca pizza!!! And it all comes at an amazing price and there are hundreds of deals!! I ordered my first pizza and got it delivered and the Dominos cars are sooooo COOL "

The app is still pretty much the same, I regularly order from the app. But it still has it pit falls: 1.Your able to save Fav Pizza or configuration of an order. But it doesn’t remember the setup. I.e whether it was a collection deal or part of a bigger order. Please can you either add the function to save the complete configuration or at least when choose a meal deal allow you to pick your saved favourite. 2. Your not able to edit or re-configure side orders. For example, I’m allergic to cheese. So I would like to be able to order the garlic bread without the cheese; without having to ring the store before ordering on the app or just completely order over the phone. Same for bacon & wedges, I’d much rather bbq drizzled over all. Please, please amend this in the app. 3. While your about to reconfigure your pizza tipping, the same can’t be said for the crusts. The hotdog option was great until you could only order with mozzarella, unless yet again. Ringing the store in advance. Which defeats the point of the app. Other than the 3 points above, am a big fan of the app and specially the store I order from these day. Clydach, Swansea store is the best I’ve come across & considering I usually order Domino’s up to 3 times per week & from different store depending on my location or if I go pick it up. Dominos aren’t the cheapest, but I think you get what you pay for, which is why I’m so pleased Dominos have made ordering their meal deals so easy. The app used to be a bit cumbersome with a clunky UI where you were never sure you were getting what you wanted: usually I’d give in and just phone instead. Now, however, the interface is much improved: when you select a deal, you’re presented with its elements. Suppose the deal is on a large pizza, medium pizza and any side; you first see three boxes labelled appropriately with the 3 parts of your meal deal. Then it’s as easy as selecting each box in turn and choosing from the list that follows. Once all 3 boxes are filled with your choices, you just add to basket and head for the checkout. Simple, easy, intuitive. You know exactly what you’re getting and if you change your mind, just go back and select which pizza you want to replace. The order goes straight to the kitchen of your local Dominos and then a while or a few mins later, there’s a knock at the door...!
