TaxAct Express

The most unstable app I have ever had to deal with. Every time I try to put my W-2 info in to the app it tries to make me take a picture instead of allowing me to put the info in myself. Then when I try to take a picture, the app crashes, and boots me back to my phones home screen. When I open the app back up to try again, it makes me start from the beginning with personal info again. I have tried 7 times now to put in one of my W-2s, without success. Absolute garbage app."

Super easy. Even though they advertised their paid options, they didn't force it on me. Unlike another well known company does. Only took about 20 minutes total. Will use again. Even if I had to pay for it, I would still recommend it. Thank you TaxAct Express! Sorry I was not trying to sound like a commercial. But I was super stressed out because of my experience with TurboTax last year."

This app is so unstable that it is unusable. Navigating away from it in your phone, whether its by hitting the back button, hitting the home screen, or getting a call will cause the app to sign you out and erase all of your progress. This happened to me FOUR TIMES. I was eventually locked out entirely. EDIT: After the devlopers responded and fixed the issue, the app is much more stable. I still get signed out when I exit, but this no longer erases my return. Updated rating from 1 star to 3."
