The key recognition could be better. I have a high end phone, a quite decent starter electric piano (Roland FP-10), and I play in a silent room, so it's perfect conditions in theory. At the very beginning it's fine, but when you start playing both hands and using sometimes 3 keys together it becomes very flaky. Still it's a very good app. You can go from nothing to something in a couple of days if you're not irritated by sometimes not having the key detected despite pressing it."

We enjoyed using this app, especially for our children to get some music fundamentals without private lessons. Great to have multiple accounts and progress through courses. Like other people, we did have issues with it not always picking up notes (acoustic piano). This made the courses quite painful as it doesn't let you progress if it thinks you are getting it wrong. Our subscription lapsed for a year and is now more than triple the price. This seems really unreasonable."

There are some significant flaws with the app design. For example, you should be able to easily scroll back on a song you are learning so you can practice hard sections, but you can't. There is a training mode to learn the song, but then you have to go through the baby steps even when you are ready to just practice the difficult parts. Furthermore, whoever is picking the songs seems to have no idea how to build in difficulty. One song is extremely hard but the next super easy."
