The sync has gotten better over the years and it's a good app on desktop and mobile. I'm writing this in the hopes the developers read this and create a dark mode option for the screen. Also, add more journal design options maybe. You've had the same ones for like 2-3 years."

I love the concept, but I do not recommend Penzu for any serious writing. I had multiple sync issues and lost work. I upgraded my phone (I was using app on a 6 year old phone, so I thought it could be an old operating system issue), but I still got sync errors on the upgraded phone. I really wanted it to work out with Penzu, but I just cannot afford to lose any work. It's also concerning that no updates have been done for a couple years now. I'd purchased the Pro subscription so now I'm out $19.99. I switched over to Evernote instead. If you do use Penzu just be warned that this is not a reliable place to store serious writing."

I bought into the second tier and like it very much. It is easy to use and saves automatic. For my desktop the software can be used with no problem. I like the app too but there are a couple of lacks. The biggest is posting photos. From my Pixel photos can only be posted in landscape mode meaning any portrait photo is on its side and there is no way to rotate it. Also there are no share buttons to speak of. It would be nice to have a share button to social media sites. Also it would be nice to have some geo tags to mark where something was written, or posted."
